Congratulations to the Q3 2011 INETA Community Champions

The purpose of the INETA Community Champion Award program is to recognize individuals with the highest levels of contributions. Those exceptional leaders and volunteers who devote innumerable hours towards hosting user group meetings, organizing Code Camps and special events, mentoring and supporting their members, publishing newsletters, updating web sites, and the list goes on and on. The Community Champion program provides INETA with an opportunity to showcase the efforts of our user group communities as a whole as well as provide individual recognition. Recognition that we hope will open doors to networking opportunities, potential sponsors, future employers or partnerships.

Please join us in congratulating the recipients of the Q3 2011 INETA Community Champion Award!

Developer Community Giving Back

This weekend the developer community in 16 cities and 2 countries is giving back by participating in GiveCamps.

GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where technology professionals from designers, developers and database administrators to marketers and web strategists donate their time to provide solutions for non-profit organizations. Since its inception in 2007, the GiveCamp program has provided benefits to hundreds of charities, worth millions of dollars of developer and designer time in services!

A list of the GiveCamps going on this weekend.

It might not be too late to help! If there is a GiveCamp in your area, listed above, check the site to see if they can still use volunteers.

As a past co-organizer and volunteer at a GiveCamp I can appreciate all of the time and effort that goes into a GiveCamp. Kudos to all that participate and make this a huge success!

A hug thanks goes out to all of the national GiveCamp sponsors that help make this a success. THANK YOU.
