 Regional Speakers Program

Last month, INETA NorAm announced the new Regional Speakers Program. The goal of the program is two-fold: to provide a place for user group leaders to find speakers to come talk to their groups' meetings and other events and to provide people interested in speaking at a regional level more experience and increased presentation skills through resources and speaking opportunities.  To date, over 100 people have signed up to join the program.

For those who want to speak, all you have to do is register yourself. Your registration record will tell others a little about you including topics you can speak on and where you are interested in speaking.

For user group leadership, you can search for potential speakers and launch a peer-to-peer conversation to make appropriate arrangements. The program is designed such that a user group could potentially schedule all of its speakers here.

You can find out more about the Regional Speaker Program in the Frequently Asked Questions. Please contact us with any comments and feedback.

 Up to the Challenge?
*

Ask any .NET developer and I bet the vast majority will tell you that PDC is the MUST attend conference of the year.  Here at INETA, we realize that times are tough and thought now would be a good time to give away two trips to PDC.  Each trip includes air, hotel and conference pass.  All we ask is you take some time to build an application using some third party components.

This could be something new or even something that you have been working on for a while.  It could even be something you are doing at work.

All you have to do is take a 5 minute video telling us why your application is so cool and you are in the running.  The judges will be evaluating submissions on many different criteria so even if you are new to a component, you still have a good chance to win.

Participating vendors:
\n SoftwareAmyuni Technologies Inc.
AtalasoftCodejock Software
ComponentOneDart Communications
Developer Express Farpoint
ActiveReportsInfragistics
NevronSoftware FX, Inc.
Syncfusion, IncTelerik

So what are you waiting for? Get busy, the deadline to get submissions in is August 25th.  Get all of the details at http://www.ineta.org/codechallenge.

Special thanks to everyone who took the time and energy to participate in this program. Keep contributing to your local developer community and submit your activities through the Champs program. This is your chance to show the world what community leadership is all about and to gain some of the recognition that you deserve! INETA Champs Program Launches New Website

After getting lots of great feedback from the community and lots of work by the Champs team we are proud to announce a new version of the INETA Champs Website (http://www.inetachamps.com). Our goal with the updated site was to reduce the amount of time and effort it takes for you to tell us what is going on in your community. The new site is completely written in ASP.NET MVC and utilizes single sign on allowing you to log in with your Live, Google, Yahoo, or OpenID account. We invite you to take a look at the new site (http://www.inetachamps.com) and start telling us about your activities today. Additionally if you have any feedback about the site or the Champs program in general feel free to email us at noram.champs@ineta.org or use the feedback module on the site.

Thank you.
